Did Marvel take DC's advise?

Marvel is famous today but just recall a few years back and you will realize there were a few stand-alone superhero movies scattered here and there and no one, among us, could even guess what were we going to experience or how big the cinematic universe was going to be.

In 'Batman Begins' our hero is told to use 'theatricality and deception' as 'weapons against the uninitiated'. He was also told to use small explosions and smoke to distract the opponent.
Exactly!
Marvel took this a step further and created MCU offline in order to make us fall in love with its characters and storylines.

Marvel Stars Class Photo in honor of their 10th Anniversary is a perfect example of the theatrical genius I want to point out in this blog.

Take a look at this first. OMG!

Marvel never fails to amaze us and I think the studio takes that too seriously. The events that happen or are organized by Marvel are larger than life, they have a good vibe to it, one of my personal favorites is Stan Lee showing up in movies every time, reminding us, always, that all this is a created reality and yet we can't stop drooling over the fact that it isn't. Its the best reality to movie connection or should we say the smoothest one.

In many parts of the country, the franchise has impacted the kids so much that they hardly know the stars playing those characters, its just, Iron Man or Thor or Hulk etc.

But the point is how does Marvel manage that off-screen?
The credit goes to the Casting directorsSarah Finn & Randi Hiller, of the franchise.

There are two ways to do it:
First, of course, the film; the film is so incredibly written that we spill the reel image of a character on its real-life image.
Sounds familiar? ("Aye! Bhai ko kuch nai bolne ka!")
Aahm! Aahm! moving forward.

The second is, Marvel treats the public appearances of these stars as the public appearances of their characters, example, it gives RDJ a red carpet entry that makes him look like 'Tony Stark' coming down for an event.
They perfectly balance the reel with real, cleverly deceiving us to believe that it's not a movie star but a genius, playboy, philanthropist, Mr. Stark.

It was the same with Black Panther, the whole event was designed in such a way and so beautifully to make us believe that Marvel has invited the people from 'Wakanda' itself and not stars from New York or Hollywood.

There is one more thing they do that just keeps them a class apart, that is, they plant their easter eggs so cleverly that we cannot stop but notice. We can spot some movie star in some Marvel event, whom we've never seen in MCU before or someone being rumored to join the team; that's an easter egg Marvel just keeps throwing at us to catch in plain sight.

One great example is Brie Larson endorsing her upcoming Captain Marvel role already in Marvel events.

Marvel is a mastermind and it has become a game now. Going to a Marvel movie is not just a movie, its an experience, the thrills, the laughs, the post credit scenes and the homework one does to see this cinematic 'marvel' is just spellbinding.

It is quite an irony that Marvel has actually implemented the dialogue that was meant for a DC movie production and has now made such a large fan base, truly "theatricality and deception are the weapons against the uninitiated".
